T-shirt Design
Retreat at Granlibakken: TETRAD Graduate Program of UC San Francisco, 2016.
The idea behind this design was to illustrate the idea of members the UC San Francisco Tetrad Graduate Program community {world} coming together from different campuses in the city, to share their research in molecular and cellular biology in Lake Tahoe. The community spans two campuses, located in the Mission Bay {crane} and Parnassus {Sutro Tower} neighborhoods of San Francisco. The distinguishing features of Lake Tahoe {trees, lake} and San Francisco {Bay Bridge, Treasure Island, buildings}, as well as letters spelling "GRANLIBAKKEN" are illustrated as proteins embedded in the cell membrane. The endoplasmic reticulum of the cell is shaped into the words, "UCSF tetrad" around the nucleus of the cell.
